EUFIC opens autumn Food Science Communication Training programme

Published on October 7, 2026

The European Food Information Council (EUFIC) has opened registration for its autumn Food Science Communication Trainings, offering researchers, health professionals and communicators the opportunity to strengthen how they communicate complex evidence on food, nutrition and health.

Six online sessions will take place between now and December 2026, each focusing on practical approaches to turning complex scientific information into clear, engaging messages that resonate with different audiences.

What will the training cover?

Topics across the six sessions include:

  • Understanding and engaging diverse audiences
  • Tackling misinformation in food and health
  • Social media and LinkedIn for professionals
  • Storytelling techniques
  • Making sense of data, risk and uncertainty

The sessions connect scientific evidence with the practical communication challenges faced by professionals working across food, nutrition and health, helping participants consider not only what the research says, but what it means for their audiences and how they can communicate it effectively.

Flexible format

There is no set training pathway, and sessions do not need to be completed in a particular order. Participants can register for one session, several sessions or all six remaining sessions, depending on their interests and needs.

Places are limited to 35 participants per session, allowing for an interactive format. Registration closes automatically once a session reaches capacity, so early registration is recommended.
